Zahlen-Dschungel – Datenschutzerklärung

Stand: 2. November 2026

Eltern

Number Jungle (Zahlen-Dschungel) – Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Number Jungle is a math learning game for children. In short: the app collects no personal data and contains no ads and no in-app purchases. Its only online feature is the world leaderboard; it sends anonymous run results only, and parents can switch it off.

What the app stores

The app stores the following on the device: the profiles (a freely chosen name or nickname, the chosen character and the school year used to pick questions), game progress (coins, clothes, rescued animals, best distances, the leaderboard on this device), learning statistics (how many questions were right, wrong or missed) and settings (language, question topics).

This data never leaves the device. There are no accounts, no sign-in and no cloud saves. Uninstalling the app deletes the data.

The world leaderboard

After a run, the app can send the metres run to our leaderboard, so the child can see how far other children got. Only the following is sent:

The app only sends a run that could improve the entry; single runs are not stored. Stored on the server are only: the random identifier with the profile slot, the nickname, the character, the platform, the best distance with its time, the best distance of the current calendar week, the time of the last send and how many sends there were that day (to prevent abuse). The duration and the app version are only used for a plausibility check and are not stored.

No names, no text, no photos, no location, no language and no device identifiers are sent. The leaderboard shows nicknames and metres only; there are no profiles, no messages and no contact between players. The data is processed on servers run by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare's privacy policy) and kept for as long as the child is on the list. The weekly best only counts in its calendar week.

The leaderboard is on by default. Parents can switch it off for each child in the parent settings (behind the parent question). Doing so deletes the child's entry on our server. Deletion by e-mail is possible too (see contact).

What the app does not do

Parents

Question topics and the leaderboard are protected by a parent question. Parents can delete the data on the device at any time by uninstalling the app (Android, iPhone and iPad) or, on Android, clearing its data in the settings; the leaderboard entry is deleted with the switch in the parent settings or by e-mail.
